A Booking Page for B&Bs, Guesthouses, and Overnight Stays
A bed and breakfast or small guesthouse isn't a whole-property vacation rental and isn't a hotel with a booking engine — it needs per-room, per-night booking with real availability. Here's how that's different, and what to set up.

A bed and breakfast or small guesthouse sits between two kinds of booking software that don’t quite fit. A vacation rental listing is built around one whole property booked by one party at a time. A hotel booking engine is built around a large property with dozens of room types and a full channel-manager setup. A B&B with three or four rooms, each bookable by different guests on different nights, needs something closer to the middle — real per-room availability, without the overhead a full hotel system assumes.
Each room is its own offering
A booking offering per room type — not one generic “book a stay” block — means each room’s real availability shows separately, so two guests can book two different rooms for overlapping dates without either one seeing the other’s room as unavailable. A guest picks “the garden room” or “the loft,” not a undifferentiated night that might or might not be the room they actually wanted.
Multi-night stays, priced the way you actually price them
Some B&Bs price flat per night; others adjust for weekends, minimum-night stays, or a length-of-stay discount. Set the offering’s price and duration to match how you actually charge — the mechanics are the same get-paid-your-way pricing modes any booking uses: Stripe for a real charge at time of booking, or display pricing if you’d rather quote a multi-night total directly and settle it separately.
A deposit that holds a booking made months out
Like vacation rentals and retreats generally, a B&B booking is often made well in advance of the stay — a deposit at time of booking, the same mechanic covered for photographers holding a wedding date, turns a tentative inquiry into an actual held reservation rather than a request that might not follow through.
What guests need to know before they book
A showcase card or two per room — photos, what’s included (breakfast, parking, a private bath) — gives a guest enough to choose between rooms without a back-and-forth email asking what each one is actually like. A map block with your address and check-in hours answers “where is this and when can I arrive” without another message.
Special requests and arrival details
A short form block next to a room’s booking offering can ask what a phone or email inquiry normally covers — arrival time, dietary needs for breakfast, a special occasion — captured once at booking instead of chased down separately before the stay.
Cancellation terms for a booking made far in advance
Because a B&B stay is often booked weeks or months ahead, a clear cancellation and refund policy matters more than it would for a same-day appointment. Every offering carries its own terms, shown to the guest before they confirm, so a cancelled or shortened stay is a stated policy rather than a conversation you’re having for the first time when it happens.
Selling a gift stay or a package
A “romantic getaway package” or a gift certificate for a future stay is a product rather than a booking — sold once, with the actual room reservation made separately once the recipient picks their dates.
