Portfolio website template
A free portfolio website template for a designer or freelancer, with three projects up front, a line on your clients, how a project runs and a form for new work. Fill it with your own projects, then add a call that a client can book once they have seen enough.
At the top sits your name, a round photo and a line on what you do and who for, with LinkedIn, Instagram and X underneath. The look is white with deep indigo, square corners, thick borders and hard shadows, and short paragraphs further down cover your clients and how you work.
What’s on this page
Booking app redesign
Up to five photos with a title and a line of text. A card can show your work, an item for sale with a link to buy it, a product you recommend, or a code to copy.
Lead with the project you most want to be hired for again. Name it plainly and use the line underneath for the result, like fewer steps to book and more people finishing, because that is what a client is buying. Two photos fit well here, the finished screen and a glimpse of the working notes.
Bakery brand
Up to five photos with a title and a line of text. A card can show your work, an item for sale with a link to buy it, a product you recommend, or a code to copy.
A second project in a different field shows range. The template uses a bakery brand in a tall frame, which suits packaging, signage or anything photographed upright. Keep the line to what you made, like a name, a logo and a shopfront.
Reading app
Up to five photos with a title and a line of text. A card can show your work, an item for sale with a link to buy it, a product you recommend, or a code to copy.
The third card can be smaller work or a side project, as long as it says something about how you think. One square image and a line on the constraint you designed for, like one hand on a busy train, is enough. Add a button to any card that opens the full write-up wherever it lives.
Start a project
A form with the questions you choose, for enquiries, quotes or feedback. Every answer is saved for you in Keepp.
The project form asks for an email, confirmed with a code before it reaches you, what the client needs from a short list of choices and a box to describe it. Change the choices to the work you take on. Each brief is kept in your dashboard, where you can tag it and add notes before you reply.
Add to it
Project call
Appointments from your weekly hours, or stays by the night. Visitors pick a time and book on the page, and can pay through your own Stripe account.
Some clients would rather talk than write a brief. Offer a short call they book themselves in the hours you set aside, and with Zoom or Google Meet connected every booking gets its own meeting link. Connect Google Calendar too, so times you are already busy are not offered.
Booking app redesign, start to finish
A piece of writing, like a guide or a list, that opens to be read in full with its own photos and items.
Clients who like a project card often want the whole story. Write it as an article with a short introduction and one item for each stage, from the brief to the result, and it opens on your page to be read in full. It has its own link too, so you can send it on its own to the person you are pitching.
Wireframe kit
An item you sell, with photos, a price and a buy button. Buyers pay on the page through your own Stripe account.
If you have made something other designers would use, like a kit, a template or a set of icons, sell it as a product. Buyers pay on your page through your own Stripe account and get the download link you set straight after.
Questions
What should a portfolio website include?
A few of your best projects with the result of each, who you have worked with, how a project runs and a clear way to get in touch. This template has three project cards, short paragraphs on clients and process, and a form for new work.
How many projects should I show?
Three to six is plenty for most people. Pick the work closest to what you want to do next, and write a full case study for one or two of them.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Connect a domain you already own and your portfolio opens at that address, with every project still on its own link.
Can clients book a call with me?
Yes. Add a booking block for a project call with the hours you keep free, and clients pick a time on the page. Connect Google Calendar and any time you already have something on is left out.
