Personal website template
A free personal website template with your name and photo, a short paragraph about you, and three cards for the things you make: a main project, your sketches and your writing. Keep what fits and change the rest, then add a contact form or a few pieces for sale.
At the top sits your name, a round photo and one line on what you do, with LinkedIn, Instagram and X underneath, then a short paragraph under an About heading. It is white and black with bright orange buttons, square corners and a firm black border round every card.
What’s on this page
Project one
Up to five photos with a title and a line of text. A card can show your work, an item for sale with a link to buy it, a product you recommend, or a code to copy.
Put the one project you would show someone first. A wide photo and a line on what it was and why it mattered gives a stranger a reason to keep reading. Rename the card to the project itself, and add a button if the full story lives somewhere else.
Sketches
Up to five photos with a title and a line of text. A card can show your work, an item for sale with a link to buy it, a product you recommend, or a code to copy.
Sketches show how you get to the finished thing, which is often what people find most interesting. A tall photo of the workbench or a page from a notebook suits this card. Add more photos as you fill new pages.
Writing
Up to five photos with a title and a line of text. A card can show your work, an item for sale with a link to buy it, a product you recommend, or a code to copy.
If you write about your work, give it a card that links to your notes or your blog. A square photo and a line on what you write about, like design and making, is enough for someone to decide whether to click.
Add to it
Say hello
A form with the questions you choose, for enquiries, quotes or feedback. Every answer is saved for you in Keepp.
A contact form lets people write to you without you putting your email address on the page. You choose the questions, and every message is kept in your dashboard to answer when you have time.
Tools I keep coming back to
A piece of writing, like a guide or a list, that opens to be read in full with its own photos and items.
Your writing can live on the page itself as articles. Write a short piece or a list, like the tools you use, with an item for each thing and a link where it helps, and visitors open it and read it in full without leaving.
Small glazed cup
An item you sell, with photos, a price and a buy button. Buyers pay on the page through your own Stripe account.
If you make things by hand, sell a few of them here. Buyers pay on your page through your own Stripe account, and you can ask for a delivery address at checkout. Set a stock limit to the number you made, and the piece stops selling once that many have sold in total.
Questions
What should a personal website include?
Who you are in a sentence or two, the work you are proudest of, where else to find you and a way to get in touch. This template has the first three ready to fill in, and you can add a contact form as its own block.
Do I need a domain?
No. Your page gets its own keepp.link address as soon as you publish it. If you own a domain, you can connect it and the page opens there.
How long does it take to make?
The layout is already done, so the time goes on your own words and photos. Swap them in one block at a time, and publish once each block says what you want it to.
Can I add more work later?
Yes. Duplicate a card for each new project. Each one has a link of its own, so you can send someone straight to the project you are talking about.
