Koji, Linkpop, Bento, Tap Bio: Link in Bio Tools That Died
Koji, Linkpop, Bento.me and Tap Bio all shut down. When each one closed, what its users lost, and where to move so your link never dies again.
Part of the link in bio guide: What is a link in bio? The complete guide
Link in bio tools keep shutting down: Koji in February 2024, GoDaddy Studio’s Link in Bio in January 2025, Linkpop in July 2025, Bento.me in February 2026, kit.co in May 2026, Collective Voice’s storefronts in July 2026 and Tap Bio on 31 October 2026. Two were bought by Linktree and then switched off, two were closed by the bigger companies that owned them (Shopify and GoDaddy), and Tap Bio is winding itself down. Keepp is where their users are moving: a free page that sells, takes bookings and collects sign-ups, and stays online even when our own servers don’t.

Koji: shut down February 2024
Koji’s idea was that a link in bio should do things: take tips, sell a download, run a poll, accept song requests. Linktree bought it in December 2023 and closed it on 1 February 2024. The pages went offline, the apps went with them, and nothing moved across. Users were offered a few months of Linktree Pro.
What Koji users lost: their pages, their apps, and the money and data that lived inside them.

GoDaddy Studio Link in Bio: shut down January 2025
GoDaddy Studio, the design app formerly called Over, had its own link in bio pages on go.studio. GoDaddy retired the old platform on 12 January 2025 and told users: “Unfortunately there’s no way to export your old Link in Bio to the new platform; you’ll need to recreate it from scratch.”
What GoDaddy Studio users lost: the page itself. Rebuilding from scratch was the only option.

Linkpop: shut down July 2025
Linkpop was Shopify’s free link in bio for sellers, with Shopify products right on the page. Shopify stopped sign-ups in June 2025 and switched it off on 7 July. From then on, nobody could log in, edit a page or sell from one.
What Linkpop users lost: a shoppable bio link, and every sale it would have made.
Where to move: Linkpop shut down: alternatives for Shopify sellers.
Bento.me: shut down February 2026
Bento made grid pages from visual blocks you arranged yourself. Linktree bought it in 2023 and closed it on 13 February 2026. Pages stopped loading, accounts closed, and old bento.me links now send visitors to Linktree’s own site, not to anything the user built.
What Bento users lost: their page, their address, and every visitor who still taps the old link.
Where to move: Bento.me shut down: where to move your page.
kit.co: shut down May 2026
Kit.co let creators build “kits”, pages of the gear and products they recommend, usually with affiliate links. Its own notice reads “Service discontinued” with the date 11 May 2026, and the kit pages are gone.
What kit.co users lost: every gear list and the affiliate links on them.
Where to move: Kit.co shut down: where to rebuild your kits.
Collective Voice: shut down July 2026
Collective Voice, formerly ShopStyle Collective, gave creators storefronts and an affiliate program. It announced on 23 December 2025 that it would wind down worldwide, and closed in July 2026.
What Collective Voice users lost: their storefronts, and the program that paid them.
Where to move: Collective Voice shut down: where to move your storefront.
Tap Bio: shuts down 31 October 2026
Tap Bio turned your bio link into a deck of swipeable cards. Its homepage now says “We’re winding down Tap Bio. Your service continues until Oct 31, 2026,” and offers users a discount on Link in Profile, a sister app that only links Instagram posts.
What Tap Bio users lose: every tap.bio link in their profiles, posts and printed QR codes.
Where to move: Tap Bio alternative: move your link before 31 October, Tap Bio vs Linktree and Tap Bio login not working?.
What these shutdowns have in common
- The tool was someone else’s side bet. A product bought to be folded into a bigger one, a feature of a commerce giant, or a company that ran out of road. When plans changed, the users were the last to know.
- Nothing came with you. No export of your page, your apps or your fans. Users rebuilt from memory.
- The link died with the tool. Every bio, caption, email signature and QR code that carried the old address broke on the same day.
How to pick a link in bio that won’t die
Look for three things:
- A page that outlives a bad day. A Keepp page is built once when you publish and stored as a complete copy on Cloudflare’s network, in more than 340 cities. If our own servers are unreachable, your page still opens. Our engineering team builds for a 100% uptime target.
- Everything valuable stays yours. On Keepp, sales go straight into your own Stripe account, your leads, bookings and orders export to a spreadsheet any time, and your own domain means the address in your bio is one you control.
- A company that’s in it for the long run. Keepp sees link in bio as a sector that’s just getting started: almost everyone will have a page of their own, and we’re building Keepp to host a great many of them for a very long time.
And while you’re moving, pick a page that does more than the one you lost. A Keepp page holds your links as cards with pictures, a shop, bookings, forms and a chat that answers questions from your page, all in one place.
The link in bio graveyard pays its respects to all of them, with less seriousness and more raccoons.
