Part of the link in bio guide: What is a link in bio? The complete guide

Koji shut down on 1 February 2024, six weeks after Linktree acquired it in December 2023. Its link in bio pages and the mini apps creators had added to them (tip jars, paid downloads, polls, request boxes) went offline, users were offered a few months of Linktree Pro, and no tool moved the apps or their data across. If you still have a Koji link in an old profile, a video description or a printed card, it has not worked for more than two years. Keepp is the free replacement for what Koji was trying to be: a link in bio that also sells, with the money going into your own Stripe account and every record staying yours.

What Koji was, and why it mattered

Koji’s idea was that a link in bio should do things, not just redirect. A creator’s page could take tips, sell a download, run a poll, accept song requests, and sell a shout-out, each as an app on the page. That is still the right idea. What went wrong was that every one of those apps, and the money and the data behind them, lived inside a platform that could be bought and switched off. When Linktree bought Koji, the pages closed and the apps went with them.

  1. Find every copy. Old Instagram and TikTok bios, YouTube descriptions, Twitch panels, Discord servers, printed cards.
  2. Build a page that does what the Koji page did. On Keepp, a tip becomes a product with the price you set, a paid download becomes a product with the file delivered automatically, a request box becomes a form, and a shout-out becomes a bookable offering. How to give away free content and grow your email list covers the free-download case.
  3. Replace the link everywhere you found it, and reprint any QR code with the new page’s own code.

Keepp

Keepp is a free page built from blocks, where every link can be a card with a picture, a description, a price and its own button. The Koji apps map onto blocks that already exist: products with Stripe checkout for tips, downloads and merch, with files delivered automatically and the money landing in your own Stripe account; forms for requests, questions and sign-ups, with every submission exportable; bookings for shout-outs, calls and sessions, with real availability and an automatic meeting link; and chat, where an AI answers from your page and you reply from Telegram. Every product and card has its own short link and QR code, so a single tip jar can have a single link.

The difference from Koji is structural. Nothing valuable sits inside Keepp. Your Stripe account is yours, your contacts export, and your own domain on the Pro plan means your address is yours too. A Keepp page never locks you in lists everything that stays with you.

Linktree

Where Koji users were sent. A good list of links with a free plan that does not expire, a shop that takes a 12% fee on the free plan and pays you out, and no form or booking block. 7 Linktree alternatives compares the field.

Beacons

A creator page with a store, email tools and a media kit. The store takes 9% on the free plan and is processed by Beacons. Keepp vs Beacons has the comparison.

Ko-fi

Ko-fi takes tips, a shop and commissions, with fees on its free tier. Keepp vs Ko-fi compares them.

Stan Store

A storefront with checkout and a calendar for coaches and course creators, from $29 a month with no free plan and no custom domain. Keepp vs Stan Store has the detail.

Common questions
