A Keepp Page Never Locks You In

Your own Stripe account, your own domain, your own affiliate links, your own scheduler if you already have one, and every record exportable any time. Here's exactly what stays yours on a Keepp page, and why.

By Keepp Team

The real test of any tool a business builds on isn’t what it does while you’re using it — it’s what happens to your money, your customers, and your data the day you decide to change something. A lot of platforms pass the first test and fail the second: easy to join, expensive or awkward to leave, with your audience, your payment history, or your own brand identity sitting somewhere you don’t fully control. A Keepp page is built the other way around — every piece of the business that matters was always actually yours, and the page is what ties them together, not what holds them.

Here’s exactly what that means, piece by piece.

Your money never sits with Keepp

Every Stripe sale on Keepp runs through your own connected Stripe account via Stripe Connect. You’re the merchant of record, not Keepp — money from a sale is credited directly to your account, and payouts, refunds, and disputes happen entirely in your own Stripe dashboard, on Stripe’s own schedule. Keepp’s commission is deducted automatically at the moment of sale; there’s no balance held by Keepp and released to you later, because there was never a balance to hold. Get paid your way covers the mechanics in full. If you ever stopped using Keepp tomorrow, your Stripe account and its entire payment history would still be exactly yours.

A card block can take real checkout on your page — or it can simply link out to your Etsy shop, your Amazon listing, or your own separate store. That choice is made per item, not locked in for the whole page. If you already have a store somewhere and just want a well-presented catalog pointing people there, that works exactly as well as running checkout directly through Keepp. Nothing about the product requires you to route every sale through it.

Show a price without ever processing a payment

Display pricing is one of Keepp’s three built-in pricing modes: set a real price, and the order still gets captured properly — buyer name, email, instant confirmation — while the actual payment happens however you already handle it, cash, invoice, or bank transfer. Keepp’s fee on that is 0%, because there’s no Keepp-processed transaction to take a cut of. It’s not a workaround bolted on for edge cases; it’s a first-class option sitting next to Stripe checkout and Free pricing, and it exists specifically so a business that handles payment its own way never has to force that process through a platform to use the rest of the page.

Affiliate cards work with whatever program you’re already in — there’s no approved-partner list, no restricted network, no requirement that the affiliate relationship run through Keepp in any way. Nothing about the purchase happens on Keepp at all: the card is a well-labeled doorway to the retailer, and the retailer’s own tracking is what attributes the sale back to you, exactly as it would from any other link. Sharing recommendations, affiliate links, and promo codes covers the mechanics — the short version is that Keepp never inserts itself between you and an affiliate relationship you already have.

Keepp’s own booking block is there if you want real availability, calendar sync, and payment tied together in one flow — but it’s not the only way to take an appointment on the page. If you already run your calendar through Calendly, Cal.com, or anything else, a plain link block pointing straight at that scheduler works exactly the same as any other button on your page. Switching to Keepp’s native booking flow is there when you want the tighter integration — automatic Zoom or Google Meet links, calendar sync that prevents double-booking, payment collected in the same step — but nothing forces the switch on day one.

Your audience, exportable whenever you want it

Every lead, buyer, and booking is a real record in your own dashboard — filterable, taggable, and exportable to CSV any time you want it, not just when you’re leaving. That’s not a one-time migration tool; it’s how the data works day to day, so checking who submitted a form last week and pulling your entire customer list before a campaign use exactly the same export, with nothing gated behind a special request.

Keepp never emails your audience for you

Worth saying plainly, because it’s the opposite of how a lot of platforms behave: there is no mechanism in Keepp that emails your leads or buyers on your behalf. Your audience is not a list the platform markets to, holds as leverage, or monetizes separately from you. Every relationship your page builds — a buyer, a lead, a booked client — stays a relationship between you and them, not one mediated by Keepp in the background.

Your own domain, your own address

A custom domain on the Pro plan means the page’s actual address is yours — not a subdomain of Keepp’s that becomes dead weight the day you’d want to point it somewhere else. keepp.link/yourhandle works fine to start, and moving to your own domain later doesn’t mean rebuilding anything; it’s the same page, at an address you actually own.

Why this is a deliberate choice, not an accident

It would be simpler, in a lot of ways, to build a platform that holds onto every piece of a business — payments processed through a house account, an audience only reachable through the platform’s own tools, data available only as a support request. That model is common precisely because it’s easier to build and harder to leave. Keepp is built the other way on purpose: Stripe Connect instead of a house payment balance, plain export instead of a data-access request, a page that links out as easily as it checks out. None of that is the default path for a platform to take — it’s a structural choice about who actually controls the business running on top of it.

What this adds up to

None of this is about expecting you to leave — it’s about what happens to be true whether you ever do or not. Your Stripe account, your affiliate relationships, your scheduler, your exported customer data, and your own domain all function as your own independent pieces of infrastructure, not as things a platform assembled and can hold onto. A Keepp page is what connects those pieces into one place that’s easy for a customer to use — it was never designed to be the thing you’d have to fight to get your business back out of.

Common questions

What happens to my page if I cancel a paid plan? The page stays live — cancelling drops you back to Free plan features rather than taking the page down. Your content, your products, your bookings, and your customer records all stay exactly where they were.

Can I move my page content somewhere else if I want to? The parts that matter most already live outside Keepp by design — your Stripe account and its full payment history, your affiliate links, your exported customer data, and your own domain if you’ve connected one. The page layout itself is Keepp’s editor, but nothing it holds is trapped there.

Do I have to pick one payment model and stick with it? No — Stripe checkout, display pricing, and free listings can all run on the same page at once, chosen per item, and switching a single product between them takes seconds.

Is there a minimum commitment to start? No — the Free plan has no card required and no time limit, and every ownership point in this post applies at every plan, not just the paid ones.

Setting it up with ownership in mind

  1. Claim your page and connect Stripe — your own account, from day one.
  2. Decide per item whether to check out on Keepp, link out to an existing store, or use display pricing and settle payment yourself.
  3. Add affiliate cards for whatever programs you’re already in.
  4. Use Keepp’s booking block, or a plain link to the scheduler you already run.
  5. Check your exported data periodically — not because you’re planning to leave, but because it’s a good habit either way.
