Bento.me Shut Down: Best Free Alternatives and How to Move Your Page
Bento.me closed on 13 February 2026 after Linktree bought it. What happened to your page, the best Bento.me alternatives, and how to rebuild your link in bio in an afternoon without losing anyone.
Part of the link in bio guide: What is a link in bio? The complete guide
Bento.me shut down on 13 February 2026, about two and a half years after Linktree bought it in 2023. Pages stopped loading, accounts closed, and old bento.me links now send visitors to Linktree’s own site rather than to anything you built. If your Bento page was the link in your profiles, you need a new page, a new address in every bio, and a plan for the people who still tap the old link. Keepp is a free replacement that keeps the part people liked about Bento (a page made of visual blocks you arrange yourself) and adds what Bento never had: selling, bookings, forms and chat on the same page, with your money and your contacts staying yours if a platform ever closes again.
What happened to Bento.me
Linktree acquired Bento in 2023 and ran it alongside its own product for a while. In early 2026 it announced the closure, gave users a window to export their content, and switched the service off on 13 February 2026. Reports from people who used it say pages went dark on that date and that visiting an old Bento address lands on Linktree. The lesson is not about Bento in particular. Koji closed six weeks after Linktree bought it in 2023, Shopify’s Linkpop closed in 2025, and Tap Bio is reported to be closing at the end of October 2026. Link in bio tools get bought and switched off, and the page you build needs to survive that.
What to do now, in order
- Write down what was on your page. Links, the order, any text, the pictures. If you exported before the shutdown, open that file. If not, check the Wayback Machine for a copy of your old address.
- Build the new page first, then change the links. Claim
keepp.link/yourname, start from a template close to your old layout, and paste everything in. Keepp’s blocks run full width or two-up, so a grid of cards looks like a Bento page without a drag-and-drop puzzle. - Update every place the old link lives. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, LinkedIn, your email signature, your podcast notes, pinned comments, and any printed QR code. Putting your link in your bio has the steps for each app.
- Reprint or replace QR codes. A Keepp page has its own QR code, and so does every block on it, so a flyer can open your booking block directly.
- Tell your audience once. One post or story saying the link has moved catches the people who saved the old one.

Keepp
Keepp is a free page built from blocks: links as pills or cards, images, text, headers, a YouTube video, a map with your hours, social icons, and a menu when you want more than one page. It is the closest thing on this list to the Bento feel, because the page is a composition of visual blocks rather than a column of buttons, and every link can be a card with a picture, a description and a price.
What Bento never did, Keepp does on the same page. Sell a product or a digital download with Stripe checkout, with the money landing in your own Stripe account. Take bookings with real availability and an automatic meeting link. Collect sign-ups and enquiries with a form you can export. Answer visitors’ questions in a chat where an AI replies from your page and you step in from Telegram. There are 42 templates to start from, or describe your old page and let Keepp’s AI build the first version. When you are ready, connect your own domain, so the next time a tool closes, your address does not go with it.
Linktree
Linktree is where Bento’s users were pointed, since Linktree bought Bento and closed it. Its free plan can’t charge for anything: paid products, bookings and courses start on Pro, at $14 a month billed yearly or $17 monthly, and Linktree has no custom domains on any plan. The best Linktree alternatives compares the options.
Beacons
Beacons gives creators a store, email tools and a media kit. The store takes 9% on the free plan, bookings are basic and on the higher plans, and payment is processed by Beacons. Keepp vs Beacons has the plan-by-plan detail.
Carrd
Carrd is a one-page site builder with total layout control, and the pick if you want to design every pixel. The free plan has no checkout, forms need the Pro Standard tier, and there is no booking or chat block. 6 Carrd alternatives covers the field.
Hopp by Wix
Hopp is Wix’s free link in bio with selling and bookings built in, and your own domain comes with a yearly plan. It suits people already inside Wix.
How to make sure this does not happen to you again
Pick a page where the valuable parts are yours rather than the platform’s. On Keepp, sales run through your own connected Stripe account, so your payment history and your money never sit with Keepp. Every lead, buyer and booking exports to a file whenever you want it. Your own domain means the address in every bio is one you own, and it would keep working even if you moved the page behind it. A Keepp page never locks you in goes through each of those.
Common questions
Is Bento.me coming back? No. Linktree closed it on 13 February 2026 and points old addresses to Linktree.
Can I recover my Bento.me page? If you exported before the shutdown, you have the content. If not, try the Wayback Machine for your old address and rebuild from the snapshot. Keepp’s AI can build a first version from a description of the old page.
What is the best free Bento.me alternative? Keepp, if you want the visual block layout plus selling, bookings, forms and chat on a free page. Linktree, if you only need a list of links.
Do my old bento.me links still work? No. They send visitors to Linktree’s site. Update every profile, signature and QR code to your new address.
