A Media Kit and Sponsorship Page for Newsletter Writers
Sponsorships are the most common way newsletters make money, and a lot of writers still run the sales process entirely over email. Here's how to put your rates, past issues, and a real booking flow behind one link.

Sponsorships are still the most common way a newsletter makes money — a brand pays to be featured in an issue, in exchange for reach to a specific, engaged audience. The sales process for a lot of writers is entirely manual: a PDF media kit emailed on request, rates negotiated over a back-and-forth thread, a slot penciled in on a personal calendar that a brand has to ask about. None of that is wrong, exactly — it’s just slower than it needs to be, for both sides.
What a sponsor actually wants to see, in one place
A brand evaluating a sponsorship wants your subscriber count, open rate, past sponsor examples, and your rate — ideally without emailing you to ask. A showcase card per stat or past placement, or a single card with your key numbers in the description, puts that information somewhere a prospective sponsor can check before reaching out at all, which filters out budget mismatches before they cost you a call.
Booking a sponsorship slot directly
If sponsorship inventory is limited — one slot per issue, a handful per month — a booking offering can hold real availability for sponsor slots the same way it would for a client consultation: a brand picks an open issue date, pays the rate through your own connected Stripe account, and the slot is confirmed on the spot instead of waiting on an email reply to find out if it’s still open.
A rate card as a product, not a PDF
Rather than emailing a PDF on request, a product with display pricing — “Single issue sponsorship: $X, ask about a 4-issue bundle” — puts your rate in front of anyone who lands on your page, with the actual invoicing handled however you already do it. A prospect gets a real answer immediately instead of waiting on a reply.
A discovery call for larger deals
For a bigger sponsorship — a multi-issue campaign, a custom placement — a free booking offering for a quick call works the same way a coach’s discovery call does: a low-commitment first step for a brand that’s serious but has questions your rate card doesn’t answer on its own.
Showing past sponsors builds trust for new ones
A showcase card per past sponsor — logo, a line about the placement, a result if you have one — does real work convincing a new brand you’re a credible, established placement, the same way a testimonial does for a service business.
Capturing interest even when a slot isn’t open
If sponsorship slots are genuinely full, a form block capturing interest — “join the waitlist for the next open slot” — keeps a real lead instead of losing a brand who reached out at the wrong time and never followed up again.
