Four kinds of card

A card block has photos, a title, and a description, but what it’s for depends on its type, set at the top of the card’s settings. Every kind opens as its own page when someone taps it, showing your photos, description, and any additional info you’ve added:

• Showcase: just for showing something off. No price, no code, and the only kind where a title isn’t required.
• Buy link: carries a price and a button on the card’s page that sends the buyer to your own checkout link. Its button URL is required, so the name is always true.
• Affiliate link: carries a referral URL as the card’s button; price is optional, shown for context.
• Promo code: shows a code chip right on the card that copies to the clipboard when tapped, with an optional button URL underneath. Tapping anywhere else on the card opens the card’s page, where the code is also there to copy.

Any kind can also show a button right on the card front. Set a button URL and it appears there, taking people straight to that link without opening the card’s page.

Every card kind opens as its own page when tapped on your live page: the editor canvas just selects the card for editing instead, so use the Preview tab to see the card’s page itself.

A card is not a product

A buy-link card shows a price and a button, but that button sends the buyer away from your page to wherever you set as the button URL, Keepp never takes payment through a card. If you want to take payment on the page itself through Stripe, use a product block instead. See sell a product for that. Picking the wrong one here is the most common mix-up on this page, so check before you build around it.

Photos and image shape

Every card takes up to 5 photos; the first is used as the cover image on the card front. Upload your own, or click Pick from gallery to choose from Keepp’s free images, filtered by business type and shape. The gallery opens on images that match the card’s shape, and a picked image is used as it is, with nothing to upload. Image shape is wide (16:9), square (the default), or tall (4:5, sized for Instagram-native photos so they don’t get cropped). Products and offerings use the same three shapes, so a page mixing them stays even.

Additional info

Every card kind has an additional info field (terms, sizing, delivery) shown only on the card’s page, kept separate from the description so the card front stays short.

How many cards to add

Add as many cards as your page needs. A page with forty cards is a page nobody finishes, though: lead with the few things you most want people to act on, and use a nav block or headers if the page needs sections.

For the one card you most want tapped, give it an Attention effect in its Style tab, under Motion: a pulse, a shine or a wiggle, once or on a slow loop. See style your page.
