Connect Your Own Domain
Serve your Keepp page at a domain you own, like shop.yourbrand.com. The three DNS records to add, where to add them at Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, Porkbun and IONOS, and how to tell when it is live.
Part of: Getting started
Your page lives at keepp.link/your-name. If you own a domain, it can live at a name of yours too, like shop.yourbrand.com or links.yourbrand.com. Visitors see your domain in the address bar, your products, bookings, forms and chat all work there, and your keepp.link address keeps working alongside it.
Custom domains are part of the Pro plan.
What you need
- A domain you own, and a login to wherever its DNS is managed. That is usually the company you bought the domain from, or Cloudflare if you moved it there.
- A subdomain to use, such as
shop, links, pageorbook. A subdomain works at every provider. A bare domain likeyourbrand.comon its own only works if your provider can flatten a CNAME at the root, which Cloudflare can and most others cannot.
Connect it
- Go to Connectors in your admin and find Use your own domain. Tap Connect.
- Enter your hostname, for example
shop.yourbrand.com, and tap Connect. - The dialog now shows Waiting for DNS and a table of three records. Keep this open; you will copy from it.
The three records are:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | your hostname, e.g. shop.yourbrand.com | pages.keepp.link |
| TXT | _cf-custom-hostname.shop.yourbrand.com | a long code, shown in the dialog |
| TXT | _acme-challenge.shop.yourbrand.com | a long code, shown in the dialog |
The CNAME is what sends visitors to your page. The two TXT records prove to the certificate authority that the domain is yours, so the https certificate can be issued before anyone visits. Each value has a copy button next to it in the dialog.
Add the records at your DNS provider
Every provider has the same three fields, sometimes under different names: the record Type, the Name (also called Host), and the Value (also called Target, Content, Data, Answer or Points to). Leave the TTL at its default.
Two things catch people out everywhere:
- The Name field usually wants only the part before your domain. If your domain is
yourbrand.com, entershop, notshop.yourbrand.com, and_acme-challenge.shop, not_acme-challenge.shop.yourbrand.com. Some providers add your domain automatically and show the full name after you save; if you seeshop.yourbrand.com.yourbrand.com, that is the sign you entered too much. - Paste the TXT values exactly. They are long and random on purpose. Use the copy buttons.
Cloudflare
- Open the domain in your Cloudflare dashboard and go to DNS, then Records.
- Tap Add record. Set Type to CNAME, Name to your subdomain, Target to
pages.keepp.link. - Set Proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud). Save.
- Add the two TXT records the same way: Type TXT, Name as shown in the dialog, Content the code.

Squarespace Domains
This is also where domains bought from Google Domains now live.
- Open your domains dashboard, select the domain, then DNS in the side panel.

pages.keepp.linkas Data. - Add each TXT record with Type TXT, the name from the dialog without your domain, and the code as Data.
- Confirm with your password and save.

Porkbun

IONOS
- Sign in and open Domains & SSL. Next to the domain, open the gear menu and choose Manage Subdomains, then open DNS for the subdomain you are using.
- Tap Add Record, choose CNAME, and enter
pages.keepp.linkin Point to. - Add each TXT record with Add Record, type TXT, and the code as the value.

Any other provider
Look for DNS, DNS settings, DNS zone or Advanced DNS in the domain’s settings. Add one CNAME and two TXT records with the names and values from the dialog, remembering that the Name field usually wants only the part before your domain. If the provider’s help centre has an article on adding a CNAME record, it will show you the exact screen.
Check that it is live
Back in the dialog, tap Check status. Two checks fill in as your records are found:
- Hostname verified turns green once the ownership record is seen.
- Certificate issued turns green once the
httpscertificate is ready.
Most providers apply records within minutes; a few take up to an hour. Until both checks are green the dialog stays on Waiting for DNS, and you can close it and come back with Manage on the Connectors card. When both are green the dialog shows Your domain is live, with a link to open it.
Open your domain. Your page loads there, every product, booking, form and chat works, and a link to one block, like shop.yourbrand.com/a1b2c3d4, opens that block the same way it does on keepp.link.
Keep the records in place
The records are what keep the domain connected, so leave them in your DNS for as long as you use it. If the card ever shows Needs attention, a record was removed or changed at your provider; put it back and tap Check status.
Remove it
Open Manage on the Connectors card and tap Disconnect. Your page keeps working at its keepp.link address. You can then delete the three records at your provider, or leave them; they do nothing on their own.
